"My Beautiful Sight"
I went to the Grand Canyon. It was deep and wide. It was amazing. The ranger said that the Grand Canyon is one of the seven wonders of the world. We took a tiny airplane ride over the Canyon. On the way to our campsite we watched a movie about the Grand Canyon at the theater, and the screen was so big you felt like you were in it. It was so fun.
So that was my big sight.

My favorite time in nature was being able to save a babybird, germane shepard, and a snapping turtle. It was my favorite moments because I love animals so much and I wanted to save animals for the environment and I saved 3 so far for the environment. But the next morning when we had the baby bird, it died because of the cold weather. That's why that was my favorite moment that was in outside in nature.
There are lots of deer, woodchucks, robins, blue jays, geese, woodpeckers, skunks, coyotes, cougars, cardinals, squirrels, raccoons, chipmunk, turkey vultures, gray herons, gardener snakes, rabbits, and lots of more in our neighborhood.
We saved wildlife by saving animals, cleaning up the environment, and treating the environment good and healthy.
My favorite animal is the Giant Panda. It lives in the Bamboo forests in the mountain range of China. They eat mainly bamboo a lot. They are black and white. Sometimes they attack predators to protect their young, but mostly they eat bamboo. ***Zachary***

"An Amazing Hike"
I was up in Yosemite one Mother’s Day weekend and our family decided to climb Vernal Falls. Also the family decided to go on the Mist Trail. I forgot my rain gear, so I wore a trash bag, but my dad cut holes in the trash bag so I could see and my arms could get through too. The hike was amazingly wet and dangerous.
When we all reached the top I was amazed by the view. I could see the water crashing down on all of the rocks. Everybody took a big, long rest including me. When everybody was on their way back I decided that I wanted to hike even more. The only volunteer to go with me was my dad. Finally we separated from the group and were off to climb Nevada Falls.
It was a long and tiring hike. On the way we saw people putting an ultraviolet light in their water to kill the bacteria that were in the water so that it was drinkable because it came from a river. Now my dad and I had reached the top and we went to get a better view of the waterfall. Every second was better than the one before itself.
On the way back we saw the best rainbow you can ever imagine. You could even see the difference of indigo and violet. My dad and I hiked down to get our bikes and bike to the campsite to tell our family and friends we met there.***Alana***

Hello! Here's a short story about an adventure I had in nature. I hope you enjoy it!!
I was hiking through the Adirondacks in New York one autumn with a friend when we came upon a most beautiful lake, wide and flat. It was very windy and it had a great diving rock. The rock was round and high and curved right down into the water. We took turns running as fast as we could and diving off the rock into the water. It was much fun. Kingfishers hunted along the lake shore and loons floated through the water.
There stood an enormous grandfather white pine tree by the shore whose top was shaped permanently at a sideways angle by the heavy winds. It looked as if the wind was blowing its crown even when there was no wind at all! I climbed the tree with its massive branches to the very top and there I stood and beheld the absolutely spectacular world I had climbed up into. Instead of being surrounded by trees as I was on the ground, I was surrounded by sky and seemed to be almost level with clouds! The sun illuminated the green-needle branches I stood on and shone on the lake far below. I could see for miles and stood in wonder.
As the sun set I realized I had to climb back down the long and difficult route I had come up! This scared me because the light was beginning to fade and the huge branches were so far apart I had to stretch to my fullest to reach certain ones. And I was over eighty feet high in the biggest tree I had ever climbed! I feared being stuck up there the whole night in the windy sky unable to see the branches in the dark!
After much sweating and acrobatics I finally reached the ground which was as comforting as the warmest campfire on a snowy night. I can not really describe how wonderful that earth felt after being away from it as I was. I walked back to my friend Ben and our campfire as the loons trilled their eerie song in the beautiful night.
Peace.****Daniel****
